The five main types of Fly Fishing Flies
Although there are hundreds of types of flies for fly fishing used, most of them are classified as five categories or specific types. These types are dry flies, wet flies, nymphs, streamers and tails Buck, and land. The main objective of the fly is imitate an insect that the fish eat.
A dry fly imitates a natural insect is floating on the water surface. The fish is very sensitive to any movement of their streams and how they move the insects they want food. In fly fishing a dry fly, moving slightly against the tide, the fish have nothing to do with it. The fly may seem that the fish is recognized, but not be the same insect. The fish recognizes it as something alien in water and left alone.
When fishing fly, a fly drowned was imitating a natural insect drowned or drowning, and is used under the water surface. No one is sure if the drowning is considered an insect fly choking adult or nymph from the perspective of the fish. Most Fly fishermen now seem to believe that is regarded as a nymph. Because of this wet flies each fewer sold. Wet fly fishing is the oldest form of fly fishing. It goes back to the descriptions of the original peoples of Macedonia.
A nymph is the stage between the egg and the adult life cycle of an insect. In fly fishing, flies that resemble nymphs are growing popularity. The nymph fly is just below surface waters. When a fish above water without breaking the surface, is nymphing. That means the fish eating the natural nymphs emerge as its shell. This mimics a fly nymph.
Flies streamers and Buck tail mimics any part of the life cycle of the insect. These types of fly fishing flies are much larger and represent small bait fish, scorpion fish and small. The main difference between theses two types of flies is that streamers are tied with feathers and refer Bucktails completely naked. Fly fishing with these two types of flies generally requires more rod and line manipulation. The movements are supposed to replicate the movements small fish.
Although most flies are insects of water, a terrestrial fly is made to imitate a land insect that has fallen into the water. The two main channels common ground that are imitated for fly fishing are the ant and the grasshopper.
In addition to these five basic categories of flies, there are many other types of flies used for fly fishing. Some are a combination of one or more of the basic categories and some do not fit into any group. The most important thing to remember is that it depends on the fly sees you, the fisherman. Whatever is how to fly fish.
