The best way to keep a fly rod for everyday use?
I just bought my first fly rod and wonder about the best way to store them. I hope that I will use every few days. Is it okay for the mother to be together in four parts, leaning against the wall? Or should I break down after each use and kept in the case? Thanks for advice.
I keep all my bars in the sock and rod tube respective hard, lying on its side. I do not have it against the wall. Am sure that a graphite shaft and for all and, in theory, should be able to lean against a wall for weeks without taking a turn, but it takes something like 25 seconds for the store, so why not? He will be on the road and you never have to worry about getting broken inside a case. These rods, that seem to attract freak accident that breaking the tip or damage the eye. Of all the people I know who have seen their broken stems, many of them tell the same story – the bar I was sitting somewhere where you never expect to be in danger and a few seconds later, trying to break the rod, shaking his head trying to understand the possibilities that just happened. Transport, in particular, seems to be dangerous for reeds. Doors, doors, rear windows, a backpack casually uttered – half a second Takes to ruin your day.
