Im new to fishing but can i use a fly fishing rod as a normal rod ?
sorry im new to fishing i dont exactly know what fly fishing is i only know a little about normal fishing.
im going to a park to fish in a lake in England, Liverpool
could you just help me out abit please

I would be coarse fishing if that helps ?
Yes you can use a fly rod, though not easy to cast with as you do not have much at the base of the rod for leverage to give you any great distance.
I have caought a three and a half pound pollack from the shore using a fly rod, give it a go if you cannot get the use of a normal rod, tight lines.
