How can I bring home wooden swords from Japan?
I plan to go to Japan this christmas and i want to buy a whole lot of stuff, wooden swords included, if any one has experience in this please tell me how you did it. i read somewhere that people wrapped theirs in a garbage bag and newspapers and stuff and tied it to their baggage, btw i’m flying philippine airlines, probably… and a few years ago i bought a lot of chocolate and everything was in a box, then when i flew back home, the box was the last thing to come out of those “bag circulating things” and the box was ripped apart and half of the chocolates were stolen, there were even scissors inside dammit! It was probably last to come out because everybody was helping themselves to all my chocolate anyway help pls because i need to be careful around Filipinos, I am a filipino btw so don’t hate me
Many years ago I brought home some metal swords, (not sharp, for decoration only) some I sent ahead by FedEx, others I brought on the plane with me as checked baggage. They opened the box, confirmed they were for decoration only and let me check them. I flew ANA, a bit more expensive, but very good service. The best thing to do would be to contact a Japanese embassy or consulate in your area and ask them the law directly. It may be ok to take the swords out of Japan, but not ok to bring them into your own country.

Skip Hop Studio Diaper Tote Tote is awesome. So quite a few pockets – as well as not those small, worthless pockets, either. All of the actual pockets tend to be a fantastic dimension and really aid keep every thing organized. The handles are a wonderful length and fit nicely more than the actual shoulder; the handle shoulder straps additionally remain put on my arm, which is actually important as soon as you’re holding a newborn. The tote appears fantastic, too. Not too fancy, but not as well casual. (I have it in black) The material is soft (can’t assume of a much better word) so it is simple to squeeze in to tight spaces – but yet it’s sturdy. I’ve a Fleurville Lexi carrier and I love it, too, but this handbag is type of inflexible. I believe this Skip*Hop may grow to be my daily bag. It is a little bit substantial – so if you are not in to huge hand bags this may well be far better as an over-night diaper tote.
