Can anybody reccomend a good dry and wet fly to fish for trout in Scotland in July August and September?
Obviously it’s best to try and “match the hatch” but if you don’t know whats hatching the try a wet MONTANA nymph. If you can see fish rising to dry flies then I like to try a SEDGE. If you use a very dark one then you can see it floating on the water even at quite long range and this helps. If I had only one fly in my box then it would have to be a bloody butcher.
